They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast provides you with the energy and nutrients your need for the day ahead. It helps your concentration and helps you maintain a healthy body weight.
Well just like breakfast, God’s word does the same for our soul. When we wake up to God’s word we get filled with the nutrition our soul needs to maintain the energy and strength for the day. It helps us stay focused on God throughout our day as we come across difficult or unsure situations.
So wake up every morning not only feeding your body, but your spirit and mind as well.
He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord .
Deuteronomy 8:3 NIV
Wow! 4 kids! Crazy! And that’s what we have been called. Lol. But we love it and them of course. Life would not be the same without any of them. Spunky, fun, caring, loving are just a few words that describe my kiddos. First we had Alexa, then came Ben, followed by Casey and ending our child bearing years is Dakota. Our ABCD and 1234. When we first talked about having kids, 2 was it. But God had different plans. I can’t wait to share those with you, but that will have to wait for a different time. Just wanted to introduce you to our Littles for now. 😊
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. This verse explains my relationship with my husband Rudy perfectly. He picks me up when I am down and vice versa. We compliment each other so well. Almost like it was meant to be. Lol. God knew what He was doing. Rudy is such an amazing man! I am one lucky lady. He is loving, caring, funny, handsome and above all, loves our Lord. We do have our moments, just like any other marriage, but our love rests in the hands of Jesus. So we know it’s a bond that can not be broken.
As for me and my house, we will sever the Lord. Joshua 24:15. This is what our homes foundation sits on. Serving the Lord. My husband and I are raising our kids to know and serve the Lord. And has He ever, so blessed us with such amazing kiddos. They all have their own personalities that add just the right touch to our family. I can not thank God enough for blessing me with this family. Has my life always been like this? Have I always followed God? No. Do we have a “perfect” life? An always happy family? No. And that is why I feel God has lead me to this blog. I always get asked, by believers and non, how we do it. How we have a family of 6 on 1 income. How I am able to stay home with the kids and still get things done. So I have decided, finally, to do a blog on our home life. To share what God has done, is doing, and will do in our lives. Its not easy, there are bad days (many), and what looks like I have it all together from the outside, might not look so clean on the inside. But I truly believe that God takes our mess and turns it into His message. No matter how big or small that mess may be. So sit back, relax and see how me and my house serve the lord. God Bless.
